Hamburger Stew

This is a favorite meal in our house and a great way to get more veggies in everyone! My MIL gave me this recipe and I’ve been making it a lot more since it’s a great one-pot meal and easy to keep warm for awhile in the crockpot or dutch oven! The flavor is just so good!

Ingredients:

Ground beef (1lb)
5-6 small potatoes
4 medium carrots, peeled and diced (or equivalent in baby carrots, cut or whole)
1 Onion, diced
McCormick stew seasoning (1 pkg. or 3 T. of this homemade stew seasoning blend)
2-3 cups water or beef broth (or water and beef broth seasoning or paste)
Dash of onion powder, thyme, salt & pepper

Stovetop instructions:
Cook ground beef until browned. Drain. Add remaining ingredients. Cover and cook on medium heat for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until vegetables are nearly tender, but not too soft. Serve.

Slow cooker instructions:
Cook ground beef, then add all ingredients to crockpot and cook on low for 4-6 hrs. or high 2.5-3 hours. Serve.
