Summer was crazy and fall hasn’t let us slow down much. We are finally getting around to sharing the summer pictures and videos post we’d hoped to share long ago! Enjoy!
After Derick finished his first year of law school in May (it takes three years total), he took a local job working as a law clerk, then for the second part of the summer got another law clerk job in Little Rock, AR (three hours from home). Our sweet friends at a church in the area let us stay in their guest apartment while we were there, so we were able to all go and enjoy getting to see more of Little Rock while hanging out with friends in the area.
We already had passes to the Children’s Museum back home, so we were able to frequently visit a couple of the other museums while in the area for free that were in the same network! Between friends with pools, visits to splash pads, the library, a huge indoor gym at the church we stayed at, friends with guest passes to the zoo, etc. we had a super fun (and less expensive) experience in Little Rock! We are so thankful to the Lord for His continued blessings along the way!
We hope you’ll enjoy these pictures and videos as you scroll through our summer with us! Because we had so much fun seeing new places, there were so many pictures! This incorporates most of our summer adventures, but we may have to squeeze in a few more in future posts!
What did your summer include? Are you enjoying routines again? Drop us a comment below!

What lovely pictures pictures. You all were really busy this summer. Our summer was relaxed. We had a party for our youngest who graduated from homeschool. That was very fun and bittersweet.
My husband and I went to the Weekend to Remember marriage conference in June which was really great. We learned much about God’s plan for marriage.
Now that fall is here we are having such chilly weather. It feels weird lighting our fireplace in October.
Bible studies at church have started up again and I must say it’s good to be back to regular routines again. I love having the fall decor up and having afternoon tea in pretty teacup!
Jill, I forgot to mention that I started a beginner quilt over the summer. I’m still working on the quilt top. I’ve been so busy I just haven’t had the time. Lord willing,
Do you do any quilting? I’m still deciding if I like it or not. It’s a lot of work! All that cutting and piecing!
Oops! I met to say, Lord willing, I hope to finish by Thanksgiving.
Hi Jill!! Iām so excited I found your blog! My husband and I welcomed our first baby over the summer. So it was very busy and flew by. We are now getting in the swing of things at home. I have been actively attending a Bible study which I love! God bless you Jill! Thanks for sharing about your summer š
Beautiful pictures. This was the first time I was unable to click on the pictures and go through them like a slide show. Hope this is not the new blog format; really enjoy the way I can click on the pics in your other blogs. Anyway looks like y’all had a great summer. Love your family and think Derrick will be a great lawyer.
oops! Thanks for pointing that out! I’ll look into it!-Jill
Should be fixed now! š
Baby Dilly #3 anytime soon? <3
