Dillards Take The Oregon Trail: Day 11

We’ve been meaning to get this last vacation video out to y’all but have had a lot going on! So finally, here is the last video of our trip to Oregon! If you missed the first several videos, be sure and check them out here on our blog or on our YouTube channel!

We road tripped from Arkansas to Oregon (less than 100 miles difference in distance than the actual, historic Oregon Trail)! It took us 3 days to get there (much better than the 4 months or so the pioneers had to endure)! Once in Oregon, we visited lots of friends and saw many places, from Portland to the Seaside & Newport coasts, including Astoria, Eugene and Bend! Then we made the 3 day trek back home, stopping on the way to see some of the actual wagon tracks left by those who took the original Oregon Trail many years ago!

This final, short video captures the last day of our travel home from Oregon. We get stuck in bad weather and pass a few wrecks trying to make it back to the dog boarding place to get our dog, Fenna, before they close for the evening!

I pray, God will put His arms around you, Jill and Derick. And protect and comfort you in these hard days…

Will y’all ever share that family photo shoot you had done back in March? The one with Monique Serra? I’d love to see the rest of those photos! 🙂
