Exciting News!!

The last few weeks for us have been busy! Not only just keeping up with life and Derick’s hectic school schedule, but we have also been in the process of planning for the future…we are excited to share with you that we are moving!!

We are relocating to Lowell, AR, which is closer to family and more centrally located in Northwest Arkansas. We started the process to build several months ago and have taken pictures along the way and are excited to share them with y’all now!

Congratulations What a blessing from the Lord. A new home is such an exciting event. The house is beautiful and it looks like you have a nice, big backyard for the kids to run around. Enjoy Also I would love your prayers for us as we are trying to move from California to Texas. Thank you and God Bless you guys.

Because of water levels where I live. Impossible to keep a basement dry.

How come people in the Midwest/southern states who are prone to tornadoes never put in basements?

    • Doreen

I’ve wondered that myself. I’ve always lived in the Northeast and almost all homes have basements. Congratulations, Jill and Derrick! Looks like a beautiful home!

Warmest Congratulations on your beautiful new home! I LOVE that you wrote scriptures everywhere. What a blessing to always be literally surrounded by the Word of God & your professions of love for each other. May your family share an abundance of love, joy and blessings in your new home. God Bless.

Some of it has to do with the fact our soil can’t handle it. I know here in Texas that is the reason. We have tornado shelters but the soil can’t handle a basement. It’s weird I know.

Yes, here in NW Arkansas there really aren’t many tornadoes that actually do damage. And basements are likely to have mold issues due to all the springs in our area. But, depending on where you live, some people opt for basements…like Derick’s mom’s place is elevated above the lake, so she is able to have a basement without as many mold issues.

Just a question. The Bible quotations you had were nice. Are you going to have them replicated all around the house?
