Exciting News!

“Never mistake law for justice. Justice is an ideal and law is a tool.”

-L.E. Modesitt Jr.

We are excited to announce our future plans! We will be remaining stateside for now as Derick is beginning law school at the University of Arkansas. We look forward to seeing how God will continue to direct our family in this new chapter of life!

Congratulations Dillard family! It’s not easy going back to study when you have a family, but it CAN work! I am living proof! It’s hard but so worth it!
Stay strong together and everything else just works out!

That’s great news Jill. What does Derick want to study? It would be great if once he is done, he can work with HSLDA( Home School Legal Defense Association) or with Jay Sekulow and the American Center for Law and Justice.
Please keep us updated and Derick looks very nice in that picture with his briefcase.

Congratulations, Derick! May the Lord bless you as you seek to serve him as a lawyer. May God use you to help bring justice to the poor and weak in Christ’s love.

I am excited for you guys! Praying for you guys! I am just on the other side of that! For the past 5 years (since I was pregnant with my 1st child) my husband has been working two jobs and or going to school! He finally got a job and his CPA. I can tell you being on this side of things, it is all so worth it! It just took us about 3 times longer than we thought.

Emma, I owe you an apology. I’m very sorry for my unkind response to your comment. It was wrong and I don’t want to be that person who leaves rude comments. Jill and Derick’s blog has been very pleasant to read and it’s exciting to see where God is leading them. Again I do humbly apologize.

Going back to school when there’s a family can be very tough, but grit and love and hard work will always pay off. God gives us the gift of resilience when we are acting in His plan, and this resilience is invaluable. I can see that you both value it. I went back to school for my doctorate when I was a 46 year old widowed mother of two. I will keep your family in my prayers, and wish you only the best.
