Lake Day with the Dillards June 2018
We recently celebrated Father’s Day weekend on the lake Derick grew up on, Beaver Lake! Jill’s brother, Joe, let us borrow his boat for the day. It was Israel and Samuel’s first time to experience the lake and Israel was scared at first, but eventually enjoyed it and didn’t want to leave! #makingmemories #fathersday2018

One of my fondest was when my parents surprised us at school by picking us up early from school and taking us to Knotts Berry Farm.
My family and I would go to Gulf Shores, AL a lot during the summer. I grew up in Mobile so we weren’t that far. We had so much fun with family and friends! I loved spending the day under the sun and swimming!
When my brothers and I were kids we spent pretty much every day of summer vacation in the swimming pool at my grandparents house! From May until September, that old swimming pool saw a lot of action. It was only 4′ deep so when we got a little bit older we were tall enough that we could kneel at the bottom of the pool and still have our head and shoulders out of the water! LOL
Not so much my childhood, but bringing back afresh the memories of my three guys.
Just the days spent camping, and collecting “treasures” while on hikes. Days spent in our backyard while they played in their tree fort, or in their sandbox with a whole fleet of Tonka trucks.
Evenings spent at the drive in watching the latest Disney movie. Making homemade ice cream and eating it while watching the lightening bug on a June night. I know you’ve heard this countless times, but, treasure these days….you’ll blink and they’ll be grown.
Much love Derrick and Jill.
Aww! Sounds like such fun memories! Yes, I feel like time has already flown since we had our first! It’s hard to believe he is already 3 yrs. old!
Thank you again, for sharing and letting us into your lives. Always a pleasure reading/seeing your posts.
My fondest childhood memories would probably be weekends I would go and spend with my Grandma. I really miss her. Life is harder without her.
